Introducing Time-savings
The Kwik-Clamp is quickly and easily installed on any 3-, 4-, or 5-axis machining center. With two dowel pins and a standard CAT 40 retention knob, the Kwik-Clamp uses compressed air to locate vises, fixtures, and other workholding devices in seconds, providing up to 3800 lbs. of holding force at .0002” repeatability. While one workpiece is in process, the operator loads raw material or semi-finished parts into a second Kwik-Clamp equipped vise or fixture—when the machining cycle ends, the two are swapped and production resumes. The result is decreased downtime and more finished parts per shift. Kwik-Clamp’s extreme accuracy also increases production flexibility, since jobs can be transferred between machine tools without unclamping. Similarly, defects and scrap are greatly reduced, as parts can removed for mid-program inspection, then quickly and accurately placed back into the machine for completion.
